PR or just insanity? Nike Air YEEZY 2
These are Kanye West’s shoes designed by him created by Nike, they go on sale in America on June 9th for $245 not bad right? Well a pair of these shoes (or sneakers as the Americans prefer) sold on Ebay for just under $90,000. Is this insanity or just good PR?
I think the latter. Due the buzz and newsworthy material created from the selling of said shoes.

eBay Store in London
I read last week that ebay the online market place are going to open a store just off Oxford street for the christmas shopping season. I and some of my class mates found this slightly bezare considering for the past decade or so ebay have been strictly a online store. However, on further research it appears to be true stepping forward in marketing is stepping backwards. So much for the internet killing the high street.
The store will consist of 200 top selling products which range from entertainer toys to clothing and lots of other products. Customer will be able to purchase products through their smart phones, products will then be delivered directly to the customers home the system will have a direct link to ebay accounts already in existence. ALthough the store will only be open for 5 days, i’m sure the experiment will go down a storm will people being intrigued as to how it will work.
In 2009 eBay did something very similar in New York where customer got a chance see the items they had been ogling online in person and get to see how they feel and what they do. The only difference from that experiment to this one is that in NY customers interacted with personal shoppers who helped them find the products online, where as this time customers simply use their smart phones to scan product to purchase them.
