So this is a local furniture store in my local area Sofa King, It has been running for 8 years, in which they have frequently ran ads on the local radio and in local newspapers and magazines with the phrase “With Prices Sofa king low”. This has cause many giggles and smiles in other 9 years and only complained by a few to the local police, so the obvious or not so obvious similarities between Sofa King and the ever popular swear word ‘fuck’. However some people of my local town (big enough to be a city) have complained to the Advertising Standard Authority (ASA, British Controller of advertising), to which the complaint has been upheld. This means our airwaves and local newspapers and magazine will no longer home to the “Prices Sofa King low” slogan… (what a shame). This local furniture store will now have to find a now slogan or other means of accessing audience with the slogan.
